MAMA MIA! :D

Watched "MAMA MIA" today with my family. :D
& Here's my personal review. :D

To those who totally enjoyed "Hair Spray", the movie, or is a fan of musical films, "Mama Mia" is a must watch.

Movie Review : Mama Mia!
It's a classic movie, I would say.

Well, compared to "Hair Spray", this movie has better songs. Most of the songs are upbeat; you definitely won't feel sleepy throughout the 108 minutes. At least, I didn't.
(There were only one or two slow songs.)
And if you grow up listening to ABBA's songs / is a fan of ABBA, you'll get to sing along too!
[Just... don't be too loud, or you might end up being a nuisance instead. (;]

Though the songs included is commendable, this movie has a weaker storyline than compared to the movie "Hair Spray". I would prefer Hair Spray's storyline. At least, I got a light takeaway after Hair Spray the movie. ;)

There were a few laughable scenes; Didn't exactly come verbally but I guess, it's their body expressions and yadah yadah. (I can' find the right word or descriptions to make my point.)

So, ANYWAY!
My sister actually laughed!! Lol.
FYI. She's not the kind of person who laughs much at laughable scenes. She played cool during the movie, "Get Smart". :D
&, the ending is not exactly expected; It has a minor &fine twist to it. :)

It's the usual Happy Ending though.
You can't expect much actually; Movies, Books, Stories or whatsoever should have a sweet and happy ending. Because when you're done with the book, movie, story or show, you'll have to step back to the ugly reality,
inevitably. So, why not have a little entertainment that brings you to another world? A world that's a tad prettier &fantasies your current life for a while? :)
I'm sorry but I can't help including this thought of mine.

I got that notion from Haniza though. :) She made a point about her preferred books that are of
unrealistic contents.

ANYWAY!

Movie Review : Mama Mia!
So ya, the movie's credible for the songs included. They fitted every single scenarios; it came out naturally, with a brilliant flow to the conversation!
(Credits to the writer, I guess.)

Or maybe, it's because the songs are from ABBA. ;)
Songs included were able to tell stories and speak the minds of... what one may feel in that particular situation. Magical!! Lol.
Anyhow, this movie has made ABBA songs come alive altogether again! During the movie, I had the urge to search for the songs, have them in my mp3 and listen to them all day long!!!
(I was once a fan. =x)

The songs included in this movie sort of became the voices of the characters. Which, was really interesting. You could really get the whole picture from the songs. Or at least, what/how the characters wanted to express themselves in that particular situation.
Songs sang by ABBA are storytellers. :) It's magical! Lol.

Here's a poster and the rating provided by this website; www.izone.com.
Movie Review : Mama Mia!
Well, I've grabbed the 3 pictures from that web. =x

Okay, an average rating given by my family is......
4.25/5
With three 4/5 and a 5/5. :) The odd-one-out rating is given by my dad.

He personally feel that the movie was awesome! And that the songs were fantastic. He also felt that songs now should be able to tell tales rather than being the modern and usual nice-to-hear. Irrelevant but.. :D
He left the theater saying: "This is movie of our times."
As for my mother, she felt that the songs gave the movie "life". If it was a plain Jane movie, it might end up really boring.

By the way, here's the link to it's synopsis.
MAMA MIA! ;)

At the end of the day, "Mama Mia" is a really good movie. It's worth the 10$ we paid for each ticket and is definitely worth the 6$ rate for students. :D
FYI(For Your Information): I realise I tend to give pretty ratings to movies. Lol. There's hardly any movies that I'll give ratings below 2. So, that's my personal review of the movie, you might not like it the way I do. Lol.

I didn't know I could rant so much about a movie. LOL!

I didn't exactly enjoyed the whole movie though. I was spending most of the time trying to stop thinking about the itch in my left eye. Zzz There's this extra eyelash growing inside!!! GAVE ME HELL! I left the theater with a almost-red left eye. Zzz
I've just plucked out that irritating eyelash, by the way. I'm so brave. Lol. It didn't hurt at all though.

Okay, that's a really random note.
It's just something I wanna rant about. =x

Good night! :D

PS: Don't apologise. For all is said and done.
