A Week of Birthday!

Birthdays are especially special when they are spent with people who matters in your life, and when you have people who goes the extra mile to make it special for you. :)



A quick and simple surprise our colleagues pulled for Gowry and I.
What are the odds, one of my favourite colleague's birthday is just a day after mine! :)

Later that same day, I met up with Zylia for my birthday treat!!


Queue-d quite a bit for this.. It was nice, but not very worth any queue. =p


&On Friday, my other project team surprised me too!

Also met up with some friends from Maybank over a good evening of food and catchup!

It doesn't matter to many, but I've always preferred to celebrate my birthday on the actual day itself. It feels a lot more special? I mean.... That's the exact date I am born, isn't it?

People find it weird, but I also celebrate my Lunar birthday lol. So to be fair, I celebrate my Lunar birthday with le family, and usually reserve my birthday on the international calendar with friends. Fair right? Still the date I am born, just on different calendars. Lol.

Then again, I do celebrate my birthday with many others throughout the month..... March is a great month! Meetups, freeeeee food and so many well warm wishes. HEHE.

Today's 3 days before our team lead's birthday.
Today's the day I thought "Why not surprise our lead then?"
Today's not special, but we made it so. 🤭

Needless to say, today's a happy day for our lead. HEHE.


Such a coincidence that the birthday girl is the only one in white.


The surprise was made easy because of our regular meeting.
Just had to gather earlier before the meeting's start time and wait for our lead to come in.

Jiaxuan's Birthday

Fifth-wheeled the 2 couples 2 nights ago to celebrate Jiaxuan's birthday. . . . Lol.

No, the guys were actually a surprise to Jiaxuan. BUT, she's such a smarty pants (refuse to say that we are lousy surprise-rs) that she kindda guessed that something was up our sleeves. Booooo. It's never fun when you have a friend who's too smart (or perhaps, she just thinks too much? lol) and ruins anything we planned. :(

Nonetheless, it was a nice night out together.. Just us. Brought forward Jiaxuan's birthday celebration (by 10 days) because... I AM GOING BANGKOK SOON!!! ^^ Need a break so badly.


Oh yeah, so here's us in Holland Village's Häagen-Dazs for overpriced ice-cream desserts. heh.

Karena's Birthday!

Mid-week meet up with 2 of my favourite girlfriends to celebrate Karena's birthday! What a celebratory week, first with Karena's solemnisation (read here) then her birthday tonight and next, my projects' event on Friday! Whoop. :D

It was a fairly simple night though; met in Orchard for some flying noodles and maki sushi (served in a drawer lol) at Hana Japanese Restaurant. Unfortunately, no pictures :( But I would say the restaurant is pretty much gimmick-y because the food were just okay. People just rave about it for their Instagram-worthy food placing. Would give it to them for that though; so much effort to serve udon and sushi. Lol.

After dinner, we just roamed around and settled down in another Instagram-worthy place for desserts - I cannot remember where we went but I doubt they are still in operations so..... :p

Fastforward to 2018 and this is the only picture I have from that night :( Lost my phone in November and now I realise how very important it is to always backup your pictures!! Really search high and low for an 'evidence' of this night because I couldn't remember what we did and felt slightly moodless to blog further because there'll be this blank. Hurrr.. Lol.

Thank God for Snapchat though; I kept the snaps and here's a short snippet of that night! ♥
