Cruising, A Staycation. But Better.

I have a whole year of backlog to blog, but I’ve decided to look forward in life and move on. LOL! I have been procrastinating too much. Even though life has continued, I am still looking back and slowing down my entries because I got lazy. Thus, I’ve decided to just blog new entries while I continue to finish up my backlog - Wish me luck! Lol.

(I am a loser; It's already December 2019 and I am only updating this because after typing this entry, I got lazy and never continued blogging ahead. -.- While I have caught up with my backlog to this entry's date, I am freaking 2 years behind again in 2019. LOL!!)

Just got back from 5 nights of cruising with Haniza to Penang and Phuket. First time with a friend and without the family. I expected things to be different, more active and fun. But it turns out, Haniza and I are too similar. Lol.

We didn’t choose the chill life, chill life chose us.

Ovation of the Seas is one of the largest cruises with plenty of amenities and a variety of activities to be occupied with, but all we did was relax. Hahahahaha. We didn’t do much on board; We ate, spa-ed, gym-ed, Netflix-ed and chilled. Yes, we watched Netflix back in our room. lol.

No regrets though; who said vacations have to be packed anyway? I still enjoyed every moment of it - All the eating, relaxing at the spa and chilling back in our room with a full stomach. Not so much the gym though. LOL. It was like a staycation, but better. With way too much good food (at an affordable price, a steal!) and plenty of time to relax and wind down from reality. Best kindda vacations are the ones you really recharge, ain't it? :)

Just look at how massive it is!

I am also really really glad to be sharing this trip with Haniza! And extremely glad she enjoyed yourself and actually like cruising too! hehehe. At the end of the cruise trip, we were even talking about a potential next one! Woot.

Took so many random footage and I finally stitched them together!
And this is 2020 January, Jasmine talking. LOL.

Much feels. "I look left, you look right." LOL.

ROOM TOUR!!
That virtual window at the left serves no purpose at all! Lol. Did not understand the use of having it because we have the curtains closed most of the time. . .

Love the toilet though! Classier than the other cruises I've been.

Shoes, shoes, shoes!!

Chilled till the sun set before we went to have dinner.

YUM! Overdosing on beef every time on cruise :3

Always crazy for their buns buns buns!
There's just this particular bun we cannot not eat when we're on board.

After dinner, we headed back to the room, chill a little and headed out again for drinks and snacks. hehehe. They have really good scones, I stuffed myself!

&We started the next day at the gym! Supposedly to sweat off the food from the day before, but more like to make more space for the food up ahead the day. HEHEHE.

Then spa-ed to relax our muscles before we eat some more. LOL.

Also, this was us up at freaking 9am. T_T The only thing torturous this trip is waking up early lol

But before eating, we did something special, something I won't have done with the family - Checking out their kitchen! Mostly because with a friend you pay just your own share. Lol.

It was cool to see how they operate to serve food to so many of us. Hundreds and thousands of us! Very interesting to understand the system and see the people behind it all too; since the food they prepare and plate are always taste good and look so instagrammable!

LOBSTER!!!!!!

&Ended lunch with some new friends! :)

Peeked into their Chinese restaurant in the same morning we checked out their kitchen. Love the chairs!! Reminds me of the throne that the evil queen in Alice in the Wonderland sits on!

Dressed up for dinner and holding my new favourite drink!!

hehehe. Took a picture for record, to make when I get Midori Melon. :3

This is one of the specialty restaurant that's really mystical!

Check out the video I stitched above and find the part we were uncovering this dinner menu that is supposedly blank! Amusing for me and definitely not something we can afford to dine in if we're back here. :3

Does not look appetizing at all, but it was SO soft!

Went back to a bed with a string-ray towel!

So after 2 days of cruising, we docked in Penang!
Sunday, explore day!

After a long time under the sun (it was really hot!), we eat eat eat!
As if there's not already plenty of food onboard. :p

&Then we back onboard for MORE food. Lol.
Non-stop!

&Another day out! We cruised to Phuket from Penang overnight!

Thai fooooooooood!

There weren't much to do in Phuket though, just went to a mall walked a little before we headed back. It was also pouring... What terrible luck!

&Back to our room where they made towel animals with more swag than us!
That's an elephant and a frog, btw.

One show every night, why not!
I cannot remember what was this about though..................... Lol. But I was certainly impressed by the stage setup because it'll look different the next night~ Or the night before!

LOOK AT THE SCONES!!! THE VERY GENEROUSLY JAMMED AND CREAMED SCONES!!!

NEXT DAY! No "Tuesday" at the lift because I forgot. LOL.
First time trying Jamie Oliver's foood... It was meh.

&Wow, we're at the near end of this entry~ Took me a good...... 3 years to complete. LOL.

Random arts around the cruise!

&One last note to end off~

This cruise is really impressive because they incorporated a lot of new technology that really differentiated them from the other cruises they have... Just being able to book activities through their website has saved us so much time and even better that it was hassle-free!

Till next time, Ellie and Froggo!
