MY SISTER TURNED 21 TOO!!!

My dearest sister turned 21 yesterday. It's suppose to be a big thing to officially become an adult by age, but as usual, my sister didn't fancy any of the party gimmicks and kept everything simple. Really simple. Too simple.

Yesterday was like any other Sundays that the family have... Except, we headed over to our Uncle's place for dinner to celebrate our grandma's birthday and cut 2 cakes! Obviously, one was for her. But that's it. She also did individual celebrations with her friends... So no big parties or any combined celebration.

Unlike me 3 years ago. DAMMIT, has it really been 3 years already?! Time flies. Let's turn back time?

So instead of doing something for my sister in return, all I did was buy dinner. T^T She did so much for me back then.... And I didn't even complete the card I started for her. ><

It was a bloody simple night, but it's what my sister wants so I hope she's happy. (: Birthday babies are the queens, so behold is queen. Lol.


How many forsaken years is this?! LOL.

梅花‘s 21st Birthday!

The big TWO.ONE
Last celebrated this big age two years ago.......

Until.... Sunday.

It's been two years.... Woah. Time flies.


&Today, a good friend of mine turns 21... 梅花!!! We've only known each other for over a year, and even though she's two years younger than me, I'm happy to have this flower in my life. It's quite amazing how this friendship just happened. Everything started at MCBI, from a normal colleague at work to a good friend in my life. I can still remember how much I didn't like her at first because she was so so so negative; her work mentality was worrisome too. This, of course, she doesn't know. Yet. :X LOL!

Anyway, she celebrated her coming of age on Sunday at Raffles' City Buffet Town. Invited only her family and a few close friends, I was honoured to have been invited. ^^ Didn't know what to get her, so I volunteered to help take pictures during her party and gave her a small token. :3

It was extremely tiring that day. Reached earliest among her guests and left the latest among her guests. LOL. Since it's been two years since I'd help take party pictures, I totally forgot how tiring it could be. Went home all dogged, but I had fun and am glad the pictures turn of pretty nice. :D

Oh ya. The food wasn't good. At all. To me.

I remember not eating much because the food weren't nice. :X After eating a few items, I kept yearning for a drink. And it's not the kind of thirsty that I enjoy having... It's like... the food has been bathed in MSG. Lots of MSG. The only food I manage to enjoy was their sashimi and oysters.

I was amazed by the crowd though. Even before the buffet officially starts, there was a really long line outside the restaurant already. :O Initially thought the food was so good that many couldn't wait to start their meal. But nope! Possibly because it's a cheap buffet. But even for the price, I don't think I'll ever go back for it.

It was a great idea. Saved the trouble on slicing and distributing the cake that most people might not eat in the end. One cup per person to bring home is so convenient and easy!

What I've Been Up To.

Hello! ^^

I've been spending my time pretty wisely lately; other than the occasional meetup with friends and the every day mundane household chores, I've been occupying myself with books! :D It's a little difficult to believe that I'm reading for leisure these days. Emily even told me "I didn't know you read," when I update her with what I've been up to. lol.

I didn't know I read too. xD

Today, I had a really nice afternoon out with Weishan for brunch! We have a short list of places we want to go after exams and the plan for today was to go for Sakae's Teppanyaki at Tampines 1. Sadly, they have changed their menu and no longer serve beef. :(

Weishan told me it's really good.

We end up settling for a really substandard (she said if Sakae's is 10/10, the place I brought her would fair at 2/10) teppanyaki at Tampines Mall.

It was still a nice time though. Since the last time we hung out was more than a week ago. LOL!!!!

We had Awfully Chocolate's Hei Icecream for desserts and was stuffed. x,x






Lol. I know it's quite gross.
Especially when it clearly looks like one lump.
Because it is icecream, it was very very cold for the teeth!

Bused home after brunch and was in the mood to walk Sugar. Also to stop myself from just lazing around after the heavy brunch. End up walking that little dog for an hour. x,x I was in the mood to just roam around so I didn't walk her and let her lead the way instead. It's nice to waste time like that sometimes. LOL. Came back home feeling nice and helped my sister to bathe Sugar too. Great bonding session with the dog who doesn't like me. LOL.

If only this cake was for me ah... lol. So last year.

Anyway, this is from last Friday! Met up with my University classmates and had a good dinner before giving this Jasmine a surprise. We missed her 21st party to study for our exams and so we gave her a mini surprise to make up for it. :D
