It's 07 April 2020 and I am exactly 3 years behind time in terms of blog timeline. . .

I lost this picture, so here's the instagram shot - Dinner with Syuhada at Esplanade's Noosh! Amazing how I remember where we went. :3 Though I cannot remember exactly what we ate, I remember we had Ondeh-Ondeh cake! It was the first of the many Ondeh-Ondeh cakes that suddenly became a trend (and surprisingly still around in 2020).

It was a very simple night out with good food and catchup conversation about where we are in life. I remember it being a really simple yet comfortable night. :)

Biannual Meet Up With Syuhada

Back from our usual birthday meetup earlier this evening.... ♥


August is time for Syuhada! :)

I like how our birthdays are almost 6 months apart - making our biannual meetup slightly more balanced? Once in the start of the year and the second time at the end. There's so much to update each other about too. Though.... I still have nothing from my lovelife. Lol.

Food's pretty good. I wasn't expecting much because these character themed restaurants always come off more gimmicky, and not very impressive with the food they serve. So I was..... okay-impressed from our food. Lol.


Okay, quick random update done!

Can't wait for tomorrow - It's Friday, bitch!!


Office's shifting to the other building across the road. Whoop! I'm excited to be in a brand new place.

I wonder if I'm blessed....? This is the second time I get a brand new work environment within the first 3 months I join a company! (And also my second job, so it's a 100% hit LOL).

I love anything new! And this time, I'm empowered to managing the facility..... What a nice way to phrase "more shit work" right? hahahah. I just hope I don't have to be people's Maria or have to catch any insect!

For now, I just have to do all the nasty packing and overseeing the shift. Pretty much things I hate to do. LOL. Of course, if I can't see the need for something; THROW IT IS I WILL DO. Heh.

A Short Meetup!

Few days ago, a few of us took out some time to meet up for dinner.. Finally! It’s been so long since I last saw Rachel, Sheryl and Ryan. Everyone’s just busy busy busy these days.

Just checked my blog entries and the last time we actually met was last January! :O That’s a year and 4 months ago! (Read here) Woah... Time flies.

For a change, we had dinner at an Indonesian Restaurant, IndoBox X, in ION. For once, it’s not in Fish & Co or Swenses again. LOL. Food was good, and the ketchup was great. ^^

The meet up wasn't very long though. Ryan had to leave early (like in the middle of dinner) to go pacify his girl and Rachel left not long after dinner.

Anyway, a pity we didn't get the chance to take a picture with Ryan because he left way too early! To think Ryan was the one who asked us out uh! First one to leave. Ditching 4 girls for 1. tsktsk. Lol. But it's all good because he paid for dinner. HAHAHAHA. Kidding ~

Syuhada, Sheryl and myself stayed back a little longer and shared a cake, and a little moment together at Coffee Bean. It was nice... Talked about work, guys and self. ;) I don't think we've ever really talked about such things together... Lol. Interesting to know something new about another friend.

Though short, it was a nice time spent. A nice evening together to unwind just a little bit.

As much as she would want to deny growing another year older wiser, Emily is (very quickly) 23 already!!!
And it's only 11 days to 2014... :x lol.
I'm always happy when someone has their birthdays before mine. HEHE.

We were all settled while she was still sound asleep at home. Lol.
But lucky for her, Emily never finish her food.
So, she got to save up on dinner eating the leftovers remaining food.... :x

As for the title to this entry,,, Emily is the first person I know to actually burn her hair with fire from her birthday candles! LOLOL! It was a really quick and brief moment; explains why we don't have pictures of her epic fail. :x

She was posing to take pictures when she leaned forward (WITH THE CANDLE STILL LIGHTED!) to do something and her hair caught fire. Everything happened so fast, we couldn't really react in time. But, we sure had a lot of fun laughing at this silly girl. To think she's the first to turn 23 among the 1991 babies. LOL.

She was later very bothered by what it did to her hair. -,- While I'm just glad the flame quickly blew off within seconds and not actually burn her. Imagine the flames burning longer and actually create a hole in her jacket! :O

Lol.


After the chaos, we finished our cake and chatted a little bit here and there.

Then, someone started the topic about whether to abort or keep babies you have when you're underaged, or rather, unable to provide and raise the kid on your own.

We were split into three groups on this.

Religion all aside;

Ryan and Sheryl agreed that bearing the baby is more humane (thereafter raise or give away) while Rachel and I were bent on the idea that we should abort the baby for their own good (the baby and the baby's parents and the baby's parents' parents lol). We four had our stands while Syuhada and Emily looked like they didn't want any part of the discussion, hoping we end the debate soon and in peace. LOL. Or at least, they look like they were thinking that to me.

Though I've already had a few discussions on this, Ryan was probably the first to be really spot on the points that should be considered. At the end of the long discussion, we concluded (or rather I concluded) that whether or not we should keep the baby depends on the whole situation of the parent. There cannot be a standard.

To me, this whole issue is in a grey area where there's no clear-cut right or wrong. And, both views are not invalid at all.

The discussion got me thinking.

Ryan's stand was - Bearing the baby and then giving it away is better than abortion because mothers don't risk their health (that comes with abortion) and it's not killing a life. But instead of looking at the instant effect, Rachel and I thought about the long future.... Like, how it'll end up a burden and regret to the mother (raised or given away).

It is cruel to deny one's right to live but, it is as selfish to bring a life to suffer. Then again, how would we know if these lives would suffer and not end up with a good life or actually pulling through tough times? :/


&The night ended with a food for thought.

Was kindda looking forward to tonight because it's been a while since I've BBQ-ed!! And Christmas celebrations are always something to look forward to~~~ Especially gift exchange. TEEHEE.

But as expected, I was quite zombie-fied because I only slept at 5am this morning and woke up pretty early to spend the day with the family. Nevertheless, I had fun with these people having BBQ for dinner and exchanging gifts! HEHEHE.

Woke up early today because the family wanted to bring Sugar for her regular swim and shopping at Haw Par Villa's U-Petgamart! Lucky Sugar, there was practically no one dogs swimming today. No dogs to bump into her and stuff. It also drizzled; so we only let her swim for six laps. She was probably relieved and happy though..... Lol.

Afterwhich, Sugar went crazy running, peeing and pooing in the mart. Tsktsk. We were as entertained because there was this freaking cute bulldog that loves people patting it's butt!!!! It came to me "asking" to be pet and then when I did and stopped, it would bow to me asking for me. FREAKING CUTE I CANNOT TAHAN!!!! I WANT A BULLDOG OR A PUG TOO!!!!!

Later, we brought her to Vivo City for a bath. Seems like she likes it there more than NEX. Had lunch with parents before Ryan and Syuhada drove by to pick me. So so so, we grocery shopped and headed down to Emily's place.

It's the nth time I've been to Emily's Condominium but I haven't been to her place yet. x,x And I still haven't. Tssssssssssssssk.

There would have been a lot more if Ryan wasn't confused (he only got us cards and one gift!!!!) and Sheryl didn't forget her gifts. These peopleeeeeeee so spoil mood!!!! Lol.
So yeah, someone came up with the idea of getting gifts for everyone present.

Never thought I'll own a Red Ruby color because it looks so so so awkward on me!
But everyone said it's okay as long as I dress appropriately. LOL.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE OTHER COLOR THOUGH!
Would start using lipsticks from now on. KEKE.
