Chiulee's Birthday

Yesterday was a simple yet really fun night with my favourite people; something I needed very much from the hectic work these days. It's been a while since I'd laughed that much!!! So much that my tummy hurt. HEHE. I need more times like these to keep sane. Not what happened at the end of the celebration though.

Anyhoo~

We met up to celebrate Chiulee's birthday, had a great dinner at Shaw House's Watanabe Coffee (X) and laughed too much playing the Pop-Up Pirate game Karena brought. HEHEHE.

The freaking game made us so noisy, I was glad no one complained about us!

We also intensified the thrill of the game. What's a game if there's no penalty for the losers, right?

So....... the first and second person to actually make the pirate pop up from it's barrel 3 times would have to pay the service charge and GST of the bill respectively. Chiulee, being the birthday girl, was no exception, but she was given 2 more chances! SHE WAS SO CLOSE!

But, guess who was so so unlucky ~~~
There was no 2 person who paid the service charge and GST,

BUT ONE!!

ONE UNLUCKY PERSON PAID BOTH THE GST AND THE SERVICE CHARGE..........

No prize for guessing it right~

IT WAS ME, DAMMIT. Lol.

How lucky, right!!!!!

Unbelievable. Such a hugeass hole in my wallet from last night. SOBS.

HEHEHE, this snow app is some awesome shit.

Because of it we giggled and laughed too hard; sneakily taking pictures and videos of each other with that face changing application. Hahaha. Too unglam to share all here; will safekeep them for our own. :p

I really need more time like this. ♥

Last group shot of us tonight, with my credit card in custody! SOBS.

Sushi & Drinks!

TURNING 25 🎂
Part 5 : Maki-San & Timbre!

Sushi @ Maki-San & Drinks @ Timbre.

Geddit geddit?

With friends from work! :)
& Yes, they got me a birthday balloon! hehehe.

Wanted to check out The Switch, but it's so fully booked! We didn't actually make any reservations and thought we could just check it out. No luck. So we continued the walk to Timbre @ The Substation. Second time in 2 weeks and I still love that place! So good to unwind with drinks and good music!

Nab was with us, so we had dinner first. Sushi roll from Maki-San X! Ordered what we wanted while walking to The Cathay. THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE!! Found a seat and just waited for our food. Muahahaha. Technology is making life so easy now!

Us first while Samantha and Ruth finish up work in office.

Sweet girl Jocelyn~

The expressionless twins, Nab and Karen. :X
I am always in awe how they can tell jokes with minimal expression. Lol. Makes me confused.
But they are super cute and funny!

AND THEY CAME WITH BALLOONS!!! ^^
This shot so dreamy~ Lol.

My daily texting partner, Ruth!
We haven't stopped one day since November. It's quite amazing. Lol.

Food came, but no, we couldn't eat yet.
Photo time!

The sushi roll was delicious! Get to pick what ingredients go into it and the rice was just enough! Wasn't too filling, but didn't leave me hungry later.

After dinner, we were exiting The Cathay and I saw a familiar face!

Chiulee!!
The closet friend of mine, whom actually forgot my birthday until a day later.
TSK. Though not very belated, still late! >:(

So after this shot, we checked out The Switch, got disappointed and headed off to The Substation. I guess The Substation was a better choice for us since there would only be English songs. Hehe. 53A X is on every Friday and I've come to love them! :) Sara's so full of energy! Turns out, Nab really like her too! Good taste we have. HEHE.

Okay. Off I go now~

To more dinners together!

Free Lunch! :P

IT'S FRIDAY!!
& I have some free time now, so here's a very quick blog entry! hehehe.

Fridays are always good days, and today, there's a special guest with me for lunch!

CHIULEE!!
My closet friend. Hahaha.

Someone finally has some time to spare. Should change her tag to navyfriend now since the cat is out of the bag closet lolol. This busy bee here has been going through her BMT. So busy that she even forgot my birthday, but she's now forgiven because she treated lunch! ✌️✌️✌️ Great way to end my week's lunch.

The Coffee Club again @ Seletar Mall. Our go-to place during lunch because it's near my workplace and her house. Caught up about her work over a good lunch ; We ordered the same food though. Hahah. Loving their truffle mushroom pasta!

Lunch With Chiulee!

Our mudpie!

A different lunch today, I met up with Chiulee for a nice meal at O' Coffee Club.

Quick catchup during the hour as she filled me up with her new experience in camp! So happy she's doing something she wants and enjoys. It is.. somewhat rare? To know what you want and actually do what you enjoy.

I hope I find something soon too.

Starting 2016 With Fireworks!

IT IS 2016 !!!

Can't remember when was the last time I watched fireworks for countdown, but last night was pretty................ crowded. LOL.

Spent the last bits of 2015 with Jolene, Haniza and Chiulee.

What a different combo?
Indeed..

But it was nice. Different can sometimes be refreshing. It was also the first time Haniza saw a different side of me... Or so she said. Hahaha. I am a lot crazier and lame with the clique. Haniza kindda makes me more toned down. I never knew.. Until last night. Lol. Fun fact about myself to end a great year. ;)

This is us outside *Scape. Last few shots together~

ANYWAY!
Met up in town and had dinner at a Thai fusion restaurant in Orchard Central; Som Tam X. Dinner started out a little awkward. Food was good, I'm not that big a fan of Thai cuisine, but the food was good. Obviously cannot remember what we'd ordered. But I know we had a variety of items to share.. There was salad! Pardon the memory, girl here blogging this in 2017. :X

Back to the awkwardness. Though Chiulee knows Haniza beforehand (thanks to a coincidental diving trip!), and though all my friends pretty much know all my friends (just.. who they are, not anything beyond that), it was still a little... weird at first. But nothing time cannot change!

The shot with Jolene in the middle....... I have no idea why, but it looks as if Chiulee and I were taking a shot with a celebrity? Lol.

There weren't much to do after dinner so we just roamed around the mall, around town and waited for time to pass. Chiulee left early because... I can't remember why, but she left early. So it was just Jolene, Haniza and myself, for the rest of the year and the start of the year. ;)

Headed down to Marina Bay Sands when time was near and found an.... okay spot for fireworks viewing.

It was a beautiful sight, seeing the sky light-up as the clock ticks off to the new year... Somehow feels like it is signifying that the year would be beautiful too.... It's important how something ends, but it's also as important how something starts! 2015 was a really good year. Simple start, very fulfilling journey and a great end. A lot of fun. And I hope, 2016 would be the same... If not better.

I would want especially, to become a better person this year. :)

&to remain close knitted with some of the best people in my life~ ♥

One of the better shots I took. It was so smokey!

Us among the crazy crowd..

It was nice watching the fireworks, but the squeezing with people was not so fun.
Singapore is a terrible place for any sight-seeing. SO HUMID!

When the crowd slowly dispersed. We just stayed there....
Continued to absorbed the energy of the new year...

I always say this, but I have to repeat it again: It's amazing how the year just changes in a split second. First you're in 2015, and once that second hand needle on the clock go pass midnight... poof! It's 2016.

&here, I'm done!

ps: We took a car back home together, and as the girls left to end the day, I continued the night with my dearest friend. It's very interesting what we share. Or at least to me. I am always curious about other people's business, I always want to know what happened, but with her...... I didn't need that. Just knowing she was hurting and needed someone with her pained me enough. I didn't need any details. I could fully understand the saying "You will tell me when you are ready" when it's with her.. For some people, maybe not so. Or maybe, I'm just growing up to be more sensible and less demanding on wanting information. I also felt really.... honored and touched that she opened up that bit to me. It's like, another level of the friendship and trust... I always doubt my place in people's heart, because I think I'm never good enough.. But when people open up to me on levels they don't usually would, it surprises me and touches my heart. Sometimes making me think that I'm not that bad afterall.... :') Just noting this down because it's in my memory. I'm always grateful for the people I have in life, and this friendship is one of the most important one. ♥
