I lost this picture, so here's the instagram shot - Dinner with Syuhada at Esplanade's Noosh! Amazing how I remember where we went. :3 Though I cannot remember exactly what we ate, I remember we had Ondeh-Ondeh cake! It was the first of the many Ondeh-Ondeh cakes that suddenly became a trend (and surprisingly still around in 2020).

It was a very simple night out with good food and catchup conversation about where we are in life. I remember it being a really simple yet comfortable night. :)

Biannual Meet Up With Syuhada

Back from our usual birthday meetup earlier this evening.... ♥


August is time for Syuhada! :)

I like how our birthdays are almost 6 months apart - making our biannual meetup slightly more balanced? Once in the start of the year and the second time at the end. There's so much to update each other about too. Though.... I still have nothing from my lovelife. Lol.

First time at Snoopy's cafe, Cinneleisure.

Food's pretty good. I wasn't expecting much because these character themed restaurants always come off more gimmicky, and not very impressive with the food they serve. So I was..... okay-impressed from our food. Lol.


Okay, quick random update done!

Can't wait for tomorrow - It's Friday, bitch!!


Office's shifting to the other building across the road. Whoop! I'm excited to be in a brand new place.

I wonder if I'm blessed....? This is the second time I get a brand new work environment within the first 3 months I join a company! (And also my second job, so it's a 100% hit LOL).

I love anything new! And this time, I'm empowered to managing the facility..... What a nice way to phrase "more shit work" right? hahahah. I just hope I don't have to be people's Maria or have to catch any insect!

For now, I just have to do all the nasty packing and overseeing the shift. Pretty much things I hate to do. LOL. Of course, if I can't see the need for something; THROW IT IS I WILL DO. Heh.

A 'Vintage' Dinner

Part 6 : Vintage Dinner with Syu!
Actually..... 'Vintage' only because of the cafe name we went to. :X I'm running out of ideas to name my blog entries! Too literal ones seem boring too. Hahaha. Why does it matter, really.... But anyway, the cafe was decorated in quite a vintage way too! Or at least, that is what I think.. Lol. It was very simple and homely! Really like as if you're home~

So yes, this is our biannual dinner. hahaha. We only meet up to celebrate each other's birthday. So tonight, it was for ME! Part 6, like as if it was really that many times. Hahaha. But I'm really that blessed. ♥

It wasn't really to my liking because it was too.... runny, and was on the spicy side.
I like thicker carbonara, and not spicy. haha.
They were really generous with the noodles and bacon though, I finished as much as I could!

Oh right! Dinner was at Vintage Delicafe X somewhere near Haji Lane. Was quite a bit of walk from Bugis MRT station, but for this plate of fats, it was all worth it! Hahahah. Seriously, such a simple dish and I'm raving too much about it. It's just not common for restaurants or cafes to be generous with their cheese... You always get some at the top and then nothing at the bottom. -.- Seriously. Am I supposed to ration the cheese myself?!

Anyway, I digress. LOL.


Since we only meet up twice a year, we also spend the rest of the evening just catching up with each others' lives. Oh how time has changed us..... We used to ride bus 72 home together everyday with endless topics! And now, we cramp up only the important events in our lives within that few hours. Not complaining though. At least there's social media to keep us updated. hehe.

Halal Brunch!

What better ways to celebrate the long weekend than to spend it with great friends and enjoy good food? Hehe.

First up on my Friday was a brunch with Syuhada! A lame title I've got there, but it's both our first time trying out a halal brunch! Not sure if that even links as an explanation. Lol.

ANYWAY. Flavour Flings X it's called. I was thrilled to find that the cafe is near my place... Also why I picked it actually. :X And I'll always be happy when Swensens' is not the place we go to. Lol. The cafe is somewhat near my place because it's still winthin Hougang, but it's located a little deep into the residential area. Took us a while to find the place even with the help of our GPS.

But, I'm glad we found it anyway!

It was a birthday treat for her! ^^ 3 days late, but better than never!

We shared all that and had their The Awesome One pancakes! Food was nice and prices were relatively wallet friendly. Nothing stood out from other brunch food I've had, but they were still tasty! The pancake wasn't too sweet to my liking, which is good. Won't mind going back again because it's somewhat near my place and I like the setup of the cafe. Spacious and bright!

Would wanna try their Breakfast For Champs the next time too. Heh.

We were all dolled up, but were both feeling very uncomfortable and wet at this point. Lol.
Apart from the food and a good catchup, I believe we'll remember this brunch for a little while longer. Thanks to the pouring rain, we were semi-drenched when we arrived. And I..... actually got down a bus stop later, giving us no choice, but to brave through the heavy downpour making us wetter than we should have been. Lol. I was quite bothered by my wet shoe during brunch and I'm glad we had a long enough brunch to air-dry my shoes. :X Lol.

We didn't have afterplans or hungout very much longer after lunch because the birthday girl had another party to attend to, while I had my own after plans with my favourite peeps.

We Screamed For More Ice Cream!

Just back from a satisfying ice cream buffet @ Ion's Swensen's X with Syuhada, and I must say......... I never knew Swensen's served premier ice creams that actually tasted really good! :X

We both didn't want to stuff ourselves with just desserts and ice cream so we ordered a pizza to share. Bad decision! lol. Because we end up feeling a little filled up even before starting on the buffet. LOL. I went for mostly berry ice cream (as usual), but Syuhada went for pretty much everything! The maximum number of scoops one can order is 5 and she'll order 5 flavours only to taste them and not finish. Hahahha. This girl.... Good strategy.

The ice cream buffet was really just an ice cream thing because the other desserts were quite substandard. I didn't really like their cakes though.... Tried every piece and left them as is. Waffle was not freshly made, so it tasted a little..... 'old' to my liking. We later had just another round... Sucha waste. I'm so going to spam their ice cream the next time I'm there!


Food was satisfying, but dinner time was nice! Because it was after a long day at work, then there were ice cream! and most importantly a good dinner companion. ^^ Caught up with our lives and whatnot since we can now only afford to meet up just every once in a while (mostly just for our birthdays lol).

Spoke Too Much Over Waffles

A befitting title for this entry because I really said too much over waffles last night. xD

Met up with Syuhada for a nice dinner at Suntec City's Gelare. Dinner wasn't nice. :/ But dessert made up for it............ It was our first time trying proper food from Gelare and it was a disappointment. :/ I'm glad their waffles are nice. :D


Over waffles, we updated about each other's life.
Over waffles, I spilled the beans and killed the curious cat.
Over waffles, I spoke nothing but the truth.
Over waffles, I shared my thoughts and feelings.
Over waffles........... I blabbered non-stop.


It was a nice waffle session despite the bad dinner and rather heavy conversation. Lol.


Always nice to meet with Syuhada for a catchup!


ps: Cannot CANNOT wait for the roadtrip to JB tomorrow with ma favourite people !!!!! :D
