Tarts And KL Trip Preparation

Tarts for dinner tonight!
So pretty they were, and very delicious!!

I liked the Raspberry Praline Tart (left bottom) the most! Me and my liking for berries. :3
The color is also the prettiest, because purple and not white or brown or black. Lol.

Every one of them tasted good, to be honest; I think I'll start going for tarts when I choose desserts next time...
Tarts have never been a choice for me when choosing desserts and pastries. I always go for cakes!
But these.... game changer. Would totally go for more next time!

So glad Chiulee found a deal online to get them (Tart Blanc X) at an affordable price.
Didn't know tarts were so expensive - Maybe that's why I'd never considered them too.. Somewhat small for the price. :X


Met up with Chiulee earlier this evening to finally try these tarts, and plan our KL trip!

We managed to book the coach and hotel for the trip in December!
CAN'T WAIT!!!
First time traveling with Chiulee and Kesslyn, and my first time going to KL without the family. Probably going to cafe hop and go around more on foot than in cabs. Exciting! Seeing another side of a place I'm pretty familiar with. Like suaku. It's even my second time in December for this year. Lol.

Also, last trip in 2015 and I complete my goal to have a vacation every quarter. MUAHAHA.

Cosy Movie Night!

A random night with Jolene and Gary yesterday.
Lazing in my room to catch "Fault in our Stars".

It was nice. I like simple hangouts like these.
The movie, however, was boring at some point. I did tear a little, but there were more moments where I was just bored. :X

Jolene said "If I Stay" is a lot better, and that she really cried watching that. Shall catch it when I feel like crying. xD

The night was simple, but I had a surprise up my sleeve. HEHE.

After the movie, I quickly headed into my kitchen and got the cake ready. (Y)!

Because everyone's busy, we didn't celebrate their (Weishan & Jolene) birthdays any where near their actual dates this year. So, I thought it'll be nice to do just something simple when I meet them. Weishan with my Uni friends last week, and Jolene with Gary this week. HEHE.
I can't wait to celebrate their birthdays next week though. Doing something new together, and the entire clique would be there!!!! :D

Ketchup Over Dinner.

So... The dinner happened!! :D
&Gary joined us.

To think Weishan was the one who asked me out, and later forgot all about it. -,- Was suppose to have dinner but in the end, I was the only one eating (plus Gary and his dessert). Tsktsk. This woman uh!
I was early (rare times), and did a bit shopping in Popular to get some pens. It's been a while since I did stationery shopping AND THERE'S SO SO SO MANY 0.38 & 0.4 PEN CHOICES NOW!! I bought like... 5 pairs! Two colors of each kind, and I can't wait to start using them! LMAO. I also bought scissors and tapes. Even though the office provides tons of stationery, I've always preferred my own choice of pens, and since it is quite a hassle to get the other stuffs (tape and scissor), I went to buy instead.

0.38 felt pens for the win!!! xD

Dinner was at Pastamania. Caught up and gossiped over dinner. Best part to the night. HEHE. The reason why we met was because Weishan wanted to shop for some snacks to bring them to work. In the end, she didn't buy anything. Lol.

June 24th.

Today's a really nice day.

It's the day two VIPs in my life were born, and it's a day Weishan and I spent the entire afternoon baking for these two VIPs. ^^

Father's day was just last week (&coincidentally just a post back), and yet today's another special day for my father! It's his birthday!!!! Heh. Because these two special days are always so near each other, it's always difficult to decide on what to prepare for him. Then again, I also get to cheat a little by preparing just one card, and then doing something special on the other day. Lol. This year, I baked a few Blueberry cupcakes! :D One of his favourite flavoured cupcakes. I am glad premix never disappoints and my Dad enjoyed the cupcake. ^^

Since we didn't wanna bake too many cupcakes, knowing we'll end up throwing most of them later, we decide to use half the mixture for the cupcakes and the other half for Gary's rainbow cake in a jar.

Unfortunately, It's also Gary's birthday today too! The other VIP in my life. Except... the 'I' doesn't stand for 'Important' but 'Irritating' LOL. Here I am blogging while waiting for him to drop by my place and collect the cake. HEHE. Could have had Weishan pass it to him but she was afraid the cream would melt before she reach her home. :O I'm just really happy we manage to bake the cake really prettily and whipped the cream successfully. Lol.

"The Conjouring"

A random update because I'm bored. x,x

So..... the three of us have gathered at my place to watch "The Conjouring" today. Just the three of us because a few in the clique is at work or having exams while the others were never fans of horror flicks.

I was surprised at myself for being less scared than I remember. Maybe it's because the filming style and scaring scenes are very similar to "Insidious 2", I thought a few scenes were pretty expected. (Scariest shit in this movie would be the clapping.) But hopefully, it's because I am now no longer a scare-dy cat instead! :D

It is also confirmed today that the family is cancelling our Bangkok trip again. :( I am sad that we've cancelled this trip the second time this year but it is always better to be safe than sorry... Right? :( Because of the cancellation of this trip, I am starting to panic a little... My job hunt is delayed for nothing. x,x Anyhow, I'm still not complaining about this long break. Hopefully, a good job opportunity would come soon. ^^

The Last Day of School...

Today's the last day of school.

Plenty of mixed feelings.

But the past one year and a half has been good. :) Especially since I have my awesome Weishan with me through everything during this phase. ^^

Right now, all I want is to focus on studying and do well for my exams.

I'm leaving the next phase of my life for future Jasmine to worry then. hehe.

Anywayz, exams are in another 10 days time but I wasn't exactly pumpedup to study. Instead, I was very tempted to clear my thoughts through some baking. LOL. It wasn't exactly baking though. :x Just mixing and combining ingredients before putting them to chill and harden. Still a lot of hard work okay!




Glad I did it yesterday though. At least my thoughts are cleared and I won't keep bugging myself to bake something during my study break. :3 And it was gooooooooooood! HEHE. I ate about 3 for myself. But I skipped breakfast and didn't eat much for lunch so I guess it's okay to cheat. :x

The most surprising thing I got from baking yesterday is my mothers' praise about it! :O :D So she asked me to do it again today. Lol.



How can we end school term without a group shot right?
There were supposedly 6 of us. But because of the different timetables, there's only the three of us now. :'(




Class ended really early again so Weishan and I went off to get some ingredients for the cake. Our initial plan was to head out for some good food but Gary drove us to school and suggested to have porridge for breakfast. :( End up being too full for our lunch plans!!!!! >:( It was good though, to have a free ride to school. Save time and bus fare. HEHE.

Too Much Perfections In Life.

Someone predicted that my future would be somewhat saddening - because it might be filled with quarrels with my future partner due to my perfectionist trait.

To be exact, the person didn't really say that. Instead, a family story on TV was pointed out and said that my life would be similar.

So.... It's somewhat saying the same. :/

Now, I can't sleep because of that comment.

Lol.

Another sign of being a perfectionist? Because I wanna know what and why he thinks that way so I'll be aware and improve... And him not being able to tell me is driving me insane.

Somehow. :/

Then again, I think I'm more sad that he thinks I'll end up living a life filled with plenty of fights.

It makes me think and reflect the kind of person I am..

To have someone think that I would be involved in many quarrelling episodes somehow explains that I'm.......... spiteful(?) and hard to get along. Somehow!

And if it's because I have too much perfections in my life, it means the problem would highly be me, yes?

The thought of it is just upsetting. Lol.

Of course, he might just be wrong because he doesn't know me as well anymore (lol xp maybe la!).

I asked my sis.

She says I am in many areas somewhat a perfectionist because I want the best. Somewhat only!

Then I told her the reason for the random question.

She comforted me and say it boils down to how I handle things and she doesn't think I'll be that bad. Lol!!!

I actually thought I'm quite open-minded and unhateful.

Hmmm. Maybe I should watch my behaviour and be less spiteful! :/

Am I acting like a perfectionist, trying to improve myself again? Lol.

I just hate the idea of not doing or being my best.

Sigh.

Okay. I have to admit I'm a perfectionist, but I don't wanna always quarrel. :((

Hmmm. I wonder what my other friends think.. :/

We'll just have to see how things unfold by then. And maybe, I'll just stay single. LOL.

It was a impromptu meetup because I had a random crave. xD
Went out with Gary before that for Kumar's "What Makes A Man A Man".
It was a hilarious show! Very sexual though. I prefer him being racist. lol.




&This is Thursday night!
Zylia invited me to be her plusone for ZA Makeup workshop(?)
Learnt how to properly clean and do makeup!
It was really fun!

I'm already a fan of ZA products and after that night, I bought even more stuffs! xD
