An Afternoon With The Girls!

The best kindda afternoon is one where you hangout with friends you're comfortable with and do....... nothing. Lol. And my favourite kindda afternoon is when the food you eat is freeeeee. HEHEHE. Met up for a meal together and spent the rest of the time just catching up and roaming around Bugis. :)

We Sang Together For Christmas!

Just back from a simple evening with these girls.
For Christmas this year, we sang for 3 hours. Lol. Yeah, pretty much all.. No fancy dinner place or crazy celebration, just some precious time together. Which.. to be honest, is really precious as we grow up with our own lives to manage. Then again... I don't think we really celebrated Christmas together as often anyway. Just checked... Our last major Christmas celebration was in 2014 (read here!). LOL. Wow.... We all look so youthful then, now we're just.... tired. Lol.

Jiaxuan's Birthday

Fifth-wheeled the 2 couples 2 nights ago to celebrate Jiaxuan's birthday. . . . Lol.

No, the guys were actually a surprise to Jiaxuan. BUT, she's such a smarty pants (refuse to say that we are lousy surprise-rs) that she kindda guessed that something was up our sleeves. Booooo. It's never fun when you have a friend who's too smart (or perhaps, she just thinks too much? lol) and ruins anything we planned. :(

Nonetheless, it was a nice night out together.. Just us. Brought forward Jiaxuan's birthday celebration (by 10 days) because... I AM GOING BANGKOK SOON!!! ^^ Need a break so badly.


Oh yeah, so here's us in Holland Village's Häagen-Dazs for overpriced ice-cream desserts. heh.

Meditation is an interesting activity; How one can feel more relaxed and maybe enlightened after a session of 'mind clearing'.

Meditation, however, is not an easy activity; It is challenging to stay focused on nothing with your eyes closed (without falling asleep) and sometimes too difficult to sit still (for me because cramps pfft).

Random entry about meditation today because I brought Kesslyn and Jiaxuan for a simple session with Full Circle SG yesterday. It wasn't a random decision to go though... Humans are complicated beings. Many happy people are depressed and crippled inside. We just don't see it.. I suppose they are a lot better at hiding these emotions?

Not sure if the session helped at all though. But, it was interesting to see Kesslyn being slightly defensive when the meditation teacher was trying to answer her question and providing her tips on how to focus on meditation. Lol. A different side to the Kesslyn I've known for many years.

Surprisingly, I thought the session was relaxing, didn't even think I could last the session at first - I can never sit in a cross-legged position for a long time without getting cramps. Lol. But we were told to be comfortable and can actually be in any positions we want! Definitely stretched out my legs and laid my back against the wall. HEHE. There were people who laid down too! So... it was rather comfortable and relaxing.

Nice having someone to guide you through too; it's like instead of trying to focus on clearing your mind, you're focused on the gentle voice.  When you only pay attention to that voice, you naturally stop thinking about other things. The session also included a Tibetan singing bowl therapy. First time experiencing it; very very interesting how the sound could be felt throughout the entire body - the vibration!

I suppose I benefited most out of the session yesterday. Relaxed and ready to conquer. I am too lazy to make this a habit though. Haha.

Dramatic Start

While August had been relatively boring, September started off with a really shocking episode!!!

Right now, I am still in disbelief that something like that could happen to a dear friend of mine. It involved a series of lies, plenty of calls, a freaking hotel and a very brave Kesslyn. Lol. Not diving into details, but she was unfortunately scammed by group of really ruthless and skilled Chinese. SIGH.

Amazed at how this girl actually handled everything all by herself in the past few days - not sure if really brave or just damn silly la. Lol. Cannot believe she actually lied to me too... When I already sensed something was wrong. Pfft.

I am really glad she has put this past her and is coping things well. ♥


Here's us 2 nights ago at her place; being there for her and hearing the whole story. Hahaha.
I also feel comforted she has a few groups of really good friends.

Life is never a journey we should be traveling alone.


And this is 4 nights ago when we met for dinner before going to a wake.
Also one of the nights Kesslyn was already going through the ordeal, but faking like she's all fine.

I really did not sense anything was wrong when we met - HOW COULD SHE HAVE LIED RIGHT IN MY FACE AND I NOT KNOW!!! #failedfriend Lol.

2 Days of 美女们~

The past 2 days has been very well spent with my girl-friends and all we did was........... E A T.
Comfort faces with comforting food. Lol.

Fridays, being the last work day, are always great... but yesterday was the best so far because I met Weishan and Karena!!! Really need some comfort faces after a long ass week of work. :(


Weishan was nearby for work and we met for some Ramen!
Really refreshing to meet someone out of work for lunch. It's like...... we don't have to keep something going during the 1.5hours, which can sometimes come off a bit awkward. It's been almost 2 months now, but lunch times are still a bit of a meh. I sometimes would just rather be alone. :X Sigh. I really need to step out.

Fridays also always feel short because I look very forward to 6pm and leaving on the dot. HEHE.

Having my work location along the green line is kindda convenient? I am kindda enjoying the convenience of heading to town, Bugis (I used to hate this place) and to airport! Which was where I headed off to after work yesterday to meeeeeeeeeeet Karena!!!

It was an impromptu decision, much like the lunch date, but unplanned dates are great too!

We had 4Fingers for dinner and settled for some desserts!


We screamed for Icecream!
It had lavender sauce and tasted really flowery and light!
We ended the night cabbing home after shopping around the airport a little. Hahah.


And then today, I met up with Weishan again together with Jolene this time.


Sunday Market cafe for brunch and Nex's H&M for some quick shopping. Lunch was good, but I enjoyed the companion and conversations more than our food. HEHE. We just kept talking about anything and everything. So so so glad to have friends I can count on and am so comfortable to be talking about everything with. ♥


Short sweet afternoon before we parted for our own evening plans and I headed to Waterway Point to meet Kesslyn and Jiaxuan. Boy, is Waterway Point complicated!!!


Settled at Cedele for dinner and chatted the evening away. :)

&That was my 2 days with 美女们! ♥ I need more such weekends to keep me sane and recharged for work!!!

An Artistic Birthday

My favourite duckie aka the clique's Ling Jie turned 25 yesterday!!
(Just posted it and it's way past midnight; her birthday was 2 days ago on the 6th!)



My camera will always have plenty of her pictures when we hang out, and since it's her birthday, I shall let her have the honour of appearing multiple times in this entry today~ lol.

Since I had planned for today's activity to be painting at Arteastiq, I thought we could also settle our brunch there. But, we went without a reservation and it was so crazy packed! Waited for a while before we decided to check out another place to eat. Pity!! We were too hungry.

But Wild Honey is good - Haven't check out the place in the longest time (last time was in 2014, wow)!!!



Brought her to Arteastiq (X) because it is something out of our usual. I've been trying to exhaust as many things to do here aside from just eating and chilling. :D Today was slightly way out of our usual and comfort zone because we are not artistic or creative. hahaha.

It was a nice time just staring into blank for me!

I had so many ideas I would like to translate into this white canvas............. Googled so many images for reference, but I just couldn't pencil what I wanted. :( I drew a few things, but erased them all because they looked weird. Size was not proportional.

In the end, I drew what I draw best.................... And it wasn't even straight!!!!

&Here's my heart. The shape I like the most.

A slight problem we have with these painting session is.... Though it kindda is therapeutic, we actually don't know where to keep or whom to give our paintings!! Lol. I certainly did not want to keep it as a white elephant. So since my Dad's birthday was near, I am keeping it for him as a surprise. Teehee!

After a stressful 3 hours (felt like double the time); it actually took quite a while because we had to wait for the paint to dry - for me my base background before I can paint the heart.... Yes, I painted the entire canvas black and blue first because I kindda gave up. LOL. Then I draw the heart over it. When we were finally done with the painting, we also had to wait for it to dry a little more before they could pack it for us to bring back home.


Anyway, as I was saying..... after our session, we met up with Jiaxuan for dinner!

She wasn't interested in painting, otherwise it would have been a great time together. Boohoo.

Dinner was at a place Jiaxuan recommended because it was affordable good food, and someone she know works there. More discounts!!!
